BuyChain is a purpose-built ERP for the LBM space. A cloud-based platform that lumber traders can use to access inventory and pricing in real-time to make smarter trading decisions. Is the BuyChain platform 100% truly in the cloud?

BuyChain is 100% hosted and served from the cloud. All that’s required is a computer with internet access. No extra hardware or IT resources are necessary to use it. Because all of your information is in the cloud 100% of the time and updated real-time, no matter who or where it’s accessed, it’s always up to date. Safe, secure, and backed-up all the time.

How does a BuyChain implementation work?

Our implementation specialists figure out how to import all of your existing data and setup BuyChain for your organization. We make it our mission to help you throughout the entire implementation process. From advising you on best practices to customizing your account and training your team on how to best use the product, BuyChain will be there each step of the way.

How long does a BuyChain implementation take?

Everyone wants to know how long it takes to get BuyChain up and running for their organization. Our recommended timeline is 4-6 weeks to set up your account, 4-6 weeks to test and touch up, and 2 weeks of user training. However, the timeline is flexible based on your needs and we can expedite an implementation if the circumstances require it.

We comply with ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 27018, which is the only auditable international standard and defines the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The standard is designed to select adequate and proportionate security controls.

Does BuyChain integrate with financial and accounting systems?

Yes, however, BuyChain is a complete financial solution for accounting and finance teams. It replaces outdated financial systems that require too many customizations to effectively manage an LBM company’s needs.

Do you have dedicated Customer Success Managers (CSMs)?

Indeed we do! A dedicated Customer Success Manager (CSM) is our commitment to you that you will always have someone to collaborate with regarding BuyChain and your success with using it. Our CSMs will work with you on workflow consulting, onboarding, training, and product feedback.

Can I add users to BuyChain at any time?

Yes, you can add users at any time. We can’t tell you how quickly your sales could grow, so we give you the option to structure your BuyChain account as needed.

Is there a limit to the number of users in a BuyChain account?

We have architected a fully N-modular redundant system designed to scale to any number of users and handle any significant outage. With no masters or single point of failure, our distributed system is built upon modern clustering technologies to ensure high availability. The BuyChain engineering team has taken every measure to ensure the network and server infrastructure remains resilient and secure.

Are there permission-based roles?

Indeed there are  – BuyChain has an incredibly robust system of rules and user permissions. We know there are limits to who and why people in your organization should be able to do and see so we’ve built that in.

Is there a limit to my growth on BuyChain?

BuyChain provides an advanced web service that you can use to process and complete sales transactions, at any time, from anywhere in the world.
BuyChain is highly scalable and you only pay for what you use. You can start small and grow as you wish, with no compromise on performance or reliability.

Is BuyChain secure?

We’re focused on data security and compliance. Every BuyChain product and service is secured using 256-bit encryption, hosted on a top-tier server infrastructure, which is routinely audited to verify the integrity of our system. How is my information kept private?

BuyChain implements best practice solutions resulting in a secure environment that maintains a secure audit trail of all events occurring throughout the system. We’re happy to discuss this in detail on a demo call as well!

How can I be sure the system is reliable?

All potential code releases are subject to security reviews, performance assessments, and risk analysis before being scheduled for deployment.

Does BuyChain offer any Service Level Agreements (SLAs)?

We have customer support agents available 24/7/365 to assist with any issues that may arise, along with an on-call rotation of engineers. System uptime is always shared with our users and any scheduled maintenance periods (extremely rare) are shared well in advance and occur in off-hours.
